San Diego Networking Event

The Com-X Network is a quarterly networking event for commercially minded Life Sciences executives. The group needed a website to attract new members, build an email list, and collect RSVPs for the events. They didn't have hands-on experience with the tools but were willing to learn. The latest version of Squarespace coupled with Mailchimp and Google Workspace turned out to be a good place to start.

Community Group

The Friends of Mafundi needed a website to help their efforts to preserve this historic city owned building which was in danger of being sold to private development interests and being demolished. There was also a political dimension due to an upcoming city council election and the building's significance to the Black community in what is now a predominantly Latino district.  I setup a placeholder website until a consensus on direction and resources could allow more progress.

DTLA Gynecology Home Page

Los Angeles Medical Office

A returning client was striking out on her own. Dr Yamaguchi needed an informational website for DTLA Gynecology, her new solo gynecology practice located in downtown Los Angeles. When we spoke in August 2020, she was juggling seeing patients and finalizing leasing details for a new office, and business registration for her new practice. Her move-in target was the start of 2021. The website requirements were straightforward. The challenge was to get to the final result with minimal stress.

Spectrum Women's Healthcare home page

Los Angeles Medical Office

Spectrum Women's Healthcare is an ObGyn practice affiliated with Good Samaritan Hospital in downtown Los Angeles. A move to a newly renovated location in the hospital complex and the addition of a new partner to the practice was the impetus for their first office website. The website helped improve their patient experience by providing pre-visit paperwork and information like office hours, directions, and parking.

SEEDS home page

Los Angeles Childcare

SEEDS offers after-school childcare and also manages enrichment activities with several vendors.  The two businesses required different payment streams and record keeping requirements. A streamlined registration process reduced paperwork, overhead for the owner and improved the parent signup experience. Parents could see class availability and receive confirmation of placements. The owner was able to collect parent contact info, waivers, and automatically build class contact lists all at once.

Community Resource

This Webflow site is meant to be an online resource for people interested in this San Diego neighborhood's original houses. The majority of the content is from a late 60's home sales brochure by developer Ray Hommes reformatted to make sense in an online context. Elevations were enlarged with AI tools and reworked as standalone images. Plans were redrawn for legibility.
